Privacy Policy

Joerky LLC dba Pitch and Pair ("we," "us") respects your privacy and aims to comply with applicable laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA).

Information we collect: Information you provide via our forms such as name, email, phone, and any details you share when buying tickets, joining our list, requesting a city, or submitting a pitch/intake form. Our website may also record standard technical data (such as IP address) through the services we use to run it.

How we use it: To respond to inquiries; process ticket and intake submissions; send updates and marketing (you can opt out anytime); improve our show and site; and comply with legal obligations.

Third-party services: Our form submissions are stored in Google Sheets, on Google's infrastructure. We embed videos via YouTube. We also use the Meta Pixel and related Meta advertising tools (see below). These services may collect standard data per Google's, YouTube's, and Meta's privacy policies.

Advertising and the Meta Pixel: We use the Meta Pixel and related tools from Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta") on our website to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads. When you visit our site, the Meta Pixel may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device data, pages viewed, and actions taken, and may share this with Meta. This allows us to understand ad performance and reach similar audiences. Meta processes this data per its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy) and data policy. Depending on your location, this collection occurs based on your consent, and you can manage or withdraw it through your browser settings or Meta's ad preferences.

Sharing: We don't sell, trade, or rent your personal information from the forms you fill out on our website. We share it only with the service providers above and where required by law and with select event sponsors or partners only where you have explicitly opted-in to share your information during ticket purchase or registration. Once shared with a sponsor, your data is subject to that sponsor’s privacy policy, and Joerky LLC is not responsible for the sponsor's use of your data

Third-Party Sponsor Marketing: From time to time, certain events may be co-sponsored by third-party companies. If you explicitly elect to opt-in to receive marketing or communications from a designated event sponsor during your ticket purchase, you authorize Joerky LLC to share your name and email address with that specific sponsor. You acknowledge that Joerky LLC does not control, and is not liable for, how the sponsor stores, uses, or protects your data. Any requests to opt-out or delete your data from the sponsor's mailing list must be directed to the sponsor directly.

Your rights: Depending on your location, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and may unsubscribe from our emails at any time. To make a request, contact us. California residents have rights under the CCPA; 

International transfers: Because we use Google's and Meta's services, your data may be processed in the United States.

Adults only: Our site and events are intended for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.

Form Submission Policy

By submitting any form on our website (including ticket, waitlist, city request, newsletter, or pitch/intake forms), you agree to the following:

Accuracy & authority: You confirm the information you provide is truthful and that you have the right to share it. If you are pitching another person, you confirm you have their permission to submit their name, photo, and details to Joerky LLC dba Pitch and Pair for use in our show, and that you are solely responsible for obtaining that permission.

License to use submissions: You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, display, and incorporate the content you submit (including names, photos, descriptions, and pitch materials) in connection with our show, events, marketing, and any television, streaming, or other media development, in any format now known or later created. You waive any right to compensation, approval, or attribution for this use.

No confidentiality: You acknowledge that submissions are not confidential and that we have no obligation to keep them private, return them, or use them. We may decline, edit, or remove any submission for any reason.

Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you submit, and you agree not to submit anything false, defamatory, infringing, or that violates anyone's privacy or rights. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joerky LLC dba Pitch and Pair, its team, and partners from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your submission or from a pitched person's objection to it.

No obligation: Submitting does not guarantee selection, participation, or any outcome. We are not liable for any decisions made based on submissions or for interactions between participants.

Use of submitted content is also governed by our separate filming and TV/recording agreements.
